Why not? it is not fully unprobable. After his majesty was pulled out of Iran some fotos of his bodyguards could be observed in the media. I was in New York and a Home Land Security Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer looked at me and asked me if I am "ethnicly Iranian". At the vague question, I replied, "yes". Knowing full well that Iran is filled with several different ethnicities. Handing the dude my American passport he asked me, "What visa do you think the Iran Sheikh has in order to enter the US?". I replied he probably has a "US passport and is a US Citizen". The CBP officer at JFK Airport said, "How did you know?". I replied, "him being the Shah's body guard... he either came to the US as a refugee/asylee or married an American woman. The CBP officer looked at me and said the "CIA" should hire you. I replied the "CIA" has better things to do in Guantanamo Bay with the many Iranian Shia Muslims stored there.
The CBP officer replied, "your absolutely right".
Go figure even the federal police officers at JFK are clueless that Al-Qaedeh are Sunni Wahabbis not Shia Muslims. No wonder a bunch of Saudi clowns were able to hijack 2 planes and smash them into the WTC on 9/11.
Iron Sheikh is a clown actor playing a role. His audience laughs. Unfortunately, he spreads the false notion of what an Iranian is. There are Iranian Arabs, who are minorities in Iran, living in Khuzestan, but none of them dress like the Iron Sheikh.

Iron Sheik is now destitute and scraping for pennies...

After years of drug addiction and abuse (both the medical and the narcotic types), years of alcohol addiction and abuse, The Iron Sheik is now nothing more than a destitute has-been "showman", trying to scrape for pennies.

Those who listen the Howard Stern show on Sirius Satellite Radio, would have heard the Iron Sheik making a few appearances on the Stern show, in this past few month. On top of that, he also tours with The Killers of Comedy who are associated with the Howard Stern show. His primary skit is to get drunk and then shout profanities at the audiance, Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior and the Macho Man Randy Savage, among his other favorite targets.

He also always seems to sport a Gold Medal of some sort which he consistently brags about, but I know that he was never an Olympic wrestling gold medalist.

The Sheik is now nothing but a sad and tiring old clown.

I ran into him during a trip to Canada about 20 years ago, when I asked him how much money it  took for someone to bring his country's flag where people can boo it and spit on it...   I guess I got him really mad LOL He responded to me in such loud voice that other wrestlers even stepped back in horror.  I guess he had never thought of it in those terms...
