Well done! If I did not know this was a joke, you would think you are back in Iran watching TV. The amount of gibberish that they use to get a very simple senetnce across is incredible. We need more of these types of satire (which incidentally, does not look like Mojahedeen at all). Maybe the real newsmen (and newswomen) in Iran realize how ridiculous they look and sound. Greetings. In fact I know what the Mujahedeen style spoofs look like (I have seen so many of them), and as a matter of personal taste, I don't like them.  This video is not prepared by a political group.  I believe it is prepared by a young and fun Iranian man (and his friends?).  I believe this young man to have been brought up in Iran, though it appears from his channel on YouTube that he now lives in Canada.

The generation that grew up in Iran after the Revolution have had to endure so much religious jargon in the middle of textbooks, street sidewalks, TV programs and news.  As a generation, they have overdosed on this lingo and each and every one of them has an opinion about this phenomenon.  Have you heard Kiosk's song, Bi Tarbiat?  That song is written in reaction to the horrible and institutional Iranian television and its programming.

The thing that makes me think this clip to be interesting is this young man's ability to copy what the Iranian news looks and sounds like perfectly.  It also eerily displays how when so much slogan is included in the language, nothing of substance is ever said!  That was what I found very funny.  I also loved his sports segment! 

I hope I do better in making you smile in my future "funny" recommendations, Anon.  I try hard but I miss sometimes!  Have a good weekend!
