Oh, yes, Dubai does such
by Anonymouss (not verified) on Thu Feb 07, 2008 03:21 PM CSTOh, yes, Dubai does such wonderful things, but only at the expense of foreign workers with slave wages.
Dubai
by Realistic Girl (not verified) on Thu Feb 07, 2008 01:45 AM CSTwell the "ugly rich dude" you are refering to in Dubai is a progressive, smart, educated, intelligent man who is putting Dubai on the map of the world, not only because of money but because of excellent planning, good structures, check and balances and minimum corruption.
Something Iran seemingly never did achieve.
Unfortunately.
Dubai is a pioneer and its leader someone to look up to.
And if you can't see that then it's only cause you are being racist and not opening your eyes up to reality.
Lie?
by Anonymously (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 12:15 PM CSTSo, you're tearing the "Doctor" a new butt hole because of the price or the plane or the fact that not "everyone" knows the price of a plane these days?
Is it possible that he meant 1billion instead of million, or is that still not in your price range, since you seem to be a plane dealer?
Jesus Christ man, look at the content of the man's words and stop being such a...
I hope you aren't a teacher, in fact I hope you don't have any children. Tough growing up in that household.
Why every pro-IRI moslim should openly lie?
by Setiz (not verified) on Sun Jan 27, 2008 01:25 PM CSTDoctor Malek, you are badly uninformed or are lying to prove your point. Look at what you said:
"...CONCORDE. Every body knew that that Plane cost ed 1 Mill. $. His majesty wanted to by some. They did not give him. He highered the Orice. Up to 3 Mill. §. But he did not get any."
One more time: "...Every body knew that that Plane cost ed 1 Mill. $."
My god, you claim to be an M.D. and you are as uninformed as a kindergarten child. Planes never cost one million dollar, not even ordinary planes, let alone concord. A lousy twin-engine plane is close to one hundred million dollars nowadays. It never cost one million dollar or anything near it, at least not during M.R. shah's reign. Had shah paid only 3 million dollars, he would not have received anything more than the tip of a wing of a plane then, or maybe several dozens of passenger buses. Three million dollars only pays for spare parts of a plane or maintenance fees, but no more.
The rest of your claims are equally uninformed comments.
JUST A QUESTION ON IFormer Iran air pilot
by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on Thu Jan 24, 2008 01:07 PM CSTI wish to ask you as a Former Iran air pilot if you remember the strike of Iran air Pilots in middle 6ties? For more salary. His majesty hired PAKs Pilots to break the strike. Also american "VOLUNTERS" helped a little.Do you remember some details? or how was the srory at all.
My second question is about CONCORDE. Every body knew that that Plane cost ed 1 Mill. $. His majesty wanted to by some. They did not give him. He highered the Orice. Up to 3 Mill. §. But he did not get any. Do you know something about this story? Greeting
Iran Air-Panam story was
by Parsian (not verified) on Wed Jan 23, 2008 02:31 PM CSTIran Air-Panam story was more complicated than this. The complete story is written only in the recently published book, The History of Iranian Commercial Aviation, by Abbas Atrvash At:

Dear Masoud
by Kaveh Nouraee on Wed Jan 23, 2008 02:00 PM CSTWhile your information is most certainly accurate, I am referring to Mohammad Reza Shah's specific personal holdings, which is all immaterial now.
All the best,
Dear Kaveh
by masoudA on Wed Jan 23, 2008 12:57 PM CSTMost Iranian assets (including the PAN AM shares) in USA were owned by Bonyad Pahlavi - known as Bonyad Alavi these days. The fact that the organization was named after the Pahlavis did not mean that it was owned by the Pahlavis.
You can refer to this article published right here on Iranian.com.

To The Former Iran Air Pilot...
by Kaveh Nouraee on Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:43 AM CSTOh Captain My Captain,
Iran Air and Pan Am never had codesharing.
Codesharing originated with Qantas Airlines and American Airlines in 1990. Mohammad Reza Shah (Khoda Biamorz) was dead for nine years, and Pan Am was already down the drain by then.
Excuse me, but.....
by Kaveh Nouraee on Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:39 AM CSTThere have always been strictly enforced laws regulating foreign ownership of U.S. based Airlines.
Mohammad Reza Shah did in fact quietly own a very limited amount of stock in Pan Am, and was a potential source of funding to bail out Pan Am in the mid 1970s. The stock could not have been owned by Iran, as you state. As a foreign sovereign entity, Iran could not possibly be subjected to the bylaws of any publicly held corporation, especially one located in the U.S.
As an individual, Mohammad Reza Shah could own stock and be subjected to the corporate bylaws of Pan Am. As a foreign national, he was limited in the amount of stock/percentage of shares he could own.
By the way, the Shah was also directly responsible for the G-Class Mercedes-Benz SUV being produced.
Sir ,shah never had stocks
by IFormer Iran air pilot (not verified) on Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:16 AM CSTSir ,shah never had stocks in panAm.you are misinformed,Iran Air and panAm had code sharing and they were partners,I was trained by Pan am to be Iran Air pilot back in 1969,and iam grateful to the shah goverment to gave me that opportuinty, despite most of the Iranian denials.
The Fool
by masoudA on Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:08 AM CSTMohammad Reza Shah did not own stocks in Pan Am - Iran did !!

by Anonymouss (not verified) on Tue Jan 22, 2008 10:46 PM CSTThose were the days when Shah owned stocks in PanAm and PanAmercan Air lines shared the same terminal with Iran Air. Those days are gone, now the ugly rich dude in Dubai is the new Shah buying all the Boings with gold toilets.
