Interesting story
by Kourosh M. (not verified) on Sat Aug 16, 2008 02:57 PM PDTInteresting story, and amazing pictures. Thanks for sharing. Was she JJ's late mother or grandmother who died in Spain a few years ago?
Very Touching!
by Killjoy (not verified) on Sat Aug 16, 2008 08:18 AM PDTAn exceptionally compassionate human being!
It is sad, though, when one learns there are nomadic Bakhtiaris who still live in caves.
Thanks for sharing, PG.

by Anonymous69 (not verified) on Fri Aug 15, 2008 05:16 PM PDTYou wrote "Anyway, may she be an example to all of us and may she rest in peace". May be is time for those who always complain and preach should stop talking and get off their comfort zone and go back and make a difference just like what this brave lady did. God bless her soul. She left the comfort of her own land and dedicated her useful life in the harsh land of Iran just to serve others.

If I am not mistaking...
by پیام on Fri Aug 15, 2008 01:31 PM PDTshe is the late grandmother of our mr. Jahanshah Javid.
About a month ago, during my visit to my family in Mashhad, I visited Toos to pay my respects to Ferdowsi. Not knowing that mrs. Bakhtiar was burried at Toos as well, I was surprised to discover that she indeed was burried at Toos. After reading the informational sign above her grave, I was very touched by her actions and thus I decided to sit down and send her prayers ( tapping at her grave and thanking her for her services to my fellow country men/women). After leaving the site of her grave I noticed that many other visitors were paying their respects to this lady ( maybe Shirzan is a more appropriate term)as well. Unfortunately I made lots of pictures of our visit to Toos, but none of her grave, otherwise I would have posted some here.

Anyway, may she be an example to all of us and may she rest in peace.
