Ms. Haghiatjou, Islamic laws can change for the better

It is admirable that Ms. Haghighatjou lives to her last name’s definition and seeks the truth; the Islamic laws are anti women when compared with the human right charter… and extremely cruller to children.
I also hope that Ms. Afshin-jam continues her endeavors in defending the rights of children and women in Islamic societies.
The only thing I wish to end is the akhond-zadeh’s abuse of the freedom of expression. Those aghazadeh-ha and their mercenaries need to see the light, we no longer live in the 14th century. Islamic laws can change for the better.

Where was this picture taken? At a fashion show? If they're campaigning together, couldn't Ms Afshin-Jam wear something more appropriate? Perhaps a business suit. Or the whole thing was deliberate to she the contrast.

If Ms. Haghighatjou was a former MP, would she not have to have at some point in time, had some kind of affiliation, participation and coopertaion with the current Iranian regime? This is great. Getting the best of both worlds. I would have thought that as part of the establishment, this former MP would have to be critical of the way the person next to her is dressed. Instead, she has a smile goosh ta goosh!
Sure, maybe she is a reformer, working "within the establishment".

Human Rights Advocate and former member of Iran's parliament , Fatemeh Haghighatjoo signed the Petition to stop child executions in Iran. In an email , Ms. Haghighatjoo also thanked Nazanin Afshin-Jam for her "unique efforts of human rights".

Nazanin Afshin-Jam and SCE Campaign  thank Dr. Haghighatjoo for her support of the Campaign to  permanently end child executions in Iran.

Fatemeh Haghighatjou,was a reformist member of the Iranian Parliament until February 2004. While in parliament she challenged and criticized the hardliners as well as the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. She was the first to resign when the anti-reform measures of the Supreme Leader began to take shape. Her resignation was followed by few other pro-reform MP's.  In 2001, Ms. Haghighatjoo was sentenced to 20 months in prison, for “inciting public opinion and insulting the judiciary”. Her sentence—which she terms illegitimate and undemocratic, and which she has not served yet—was later reduced to 10 months. In 2005 Haghighatjoo was a fellow at MIT’s Center for International Relations. She is currently a fellow at Harvard University's Women and Public Policy Program.

Honestly, if Ms. Haghighatjou was standing next to an ordinary looking woman, the picture would not be getting this much attention. Is an attractive person more pleasant to look at? I'll be the fall guy here: Sure it is.
Some of us are blessed with good looks, brains,talent, fame, or forture ( with me not falling in any of these categories!), but the moment you want to put it in good use, and use it as a leverage in a cause you believe in, negative people are all over you, accusing you of not getting on the right cause, not having done enough,not fighting from the right angle, or 'using' your God-given blessing to advance it unfairly.

"If you do not want to be critisized, say nothing,do nothing, be nothing."
Long after we all have logged off and gone back to our daily lives, these two extraordinary women are still on their mission, working for democracy in the motherland.

Well, if this pictures moved so much to tears and you saw the light of democracy and equality and salvation for your country, your motherland and your borthers and sisters and now you are happy and tomorrow you will go and eat a huge Soltanee with doogh and piaz and belch and say thanks god I live in USA and I write once in a while and praise any Iranian that is pretty and if I see her taking a PR picture with another woman who has covered her hair, then I have seen the light, my people are in peace and happiness and I can now go and light up a joint, because we are close to salvation, amen...

And then you wake up and realize that it was all bologny, you are a hypocrit, she is as well and if you think these little PRs about execution of children will shake up the root that people like you have established in Iran, then you are also a fool.

If she was ugly, hairy, short and with one eye blind and defending the Iranian children, you would call her a bad name! You see who you are?

The diversity in the human family should be the cause of love and harmony, as it is in music where many different notes blend together in the making of a perfect chord.

The garden which is pleasing to the eye and which makes the heart glad, is the garden in which are growing side by side flowers of every hue, form and perfume, and the joyous contrast of colour is what makes for charm and beauty..... It is just the diversity and variety that constitutes its charm; each flower, each tree, each fruit, beside being beautiful in itself, brings out by contrast the qualities of the others, and shows to advantage the special loveliness of each and all.

1-This is a prefect photo showing that people can co-exist regardless of their different opinion in religion, idealogy while collaborating toward comon goals. Without defending past regime, this is a picture of what it was then while there was no animosity among entire Nation. This is what you see "precisley" in Turkey, Lebanon, Malaysia, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and almost all Islamic countries (except Saudi).

2-How do you know what other topics they talk about including "root of the problem"?. Have you listened/read their messages, interviews, speeches, letters, petitions?
If the answer is not, then you are hypocrit.

3-If you are not hypocrit, write back in this site and tell us what you, YES, you personally have done to get to the "root of the problem".

what is indeed wrong with the Iranians. This is exactly what is wrong with us, our hypocracy. This photo says it all.... Child execution my ass, why doesn't she talk about the root of the problem?

Why not to help the kids that have not been reached to the point of execution. We only want to shed our tears for those who are an inch away from execution. Why not help those who are potentially in that direction?
