Did you read your post
by desertlion99 (not verified) on Fri May 09, 2008 01:07 PM CDTDid you read your post before you send it? Did you even try to make scense of what you wrote? I guess for you, Snoop Dog and Fat boy plus all the other singers are good looking and can sing! Or may be you think you have all that yourself?
All the judges had to do was to let her know she is not going to be selected for the next round.
the real jerk
by MRX1 (not verified) on Fri May 09, 2008 12:23 PM CDTis the guy that is keep laughing. Some one with half class
and decency will let her finish singing and then politely they can reject her.
Good luck on Faroogh's next job
by John Carpenter III (not verified) on Fri May 09, 2008 11:58 AM CDTI agree she can't sing.
I also believe she is not attractive.
To be a singer one must have a good voice and be attractive.
She has neither.
It could have been the clothes or the make up.
She needs a better make up artist.
And teeth whitening.
Whatever it was, she just didn't look like a singer like Michael Jackson...
Who wants to sleep with little boys anyway?
She doesn't look like Elvis...
But who wants to get fat and die of a drug overdose?
Life goes on...
Get another job.
By the way, Human Rights jobs also don't pay...
I suggest she get some high paying job in Denmark and get a total makeover. Only a lot of Euros can make her look like a model. She should meet that Iranian Model Aylar Dianati Lie.
Yes, Ms. Aylar Dianati Lie did porn movies. None of these entertainers are normal.
Why would anyone be an entertainer? Drugs, porn and alcoholism don't seem like a good idea.
Summary translation
by Shahnaz (not verified) on Fri May 09, 2008 11:17 AM CDTAs the girl wanted to go in, she was telling about her dreams, how she wants to become a singer, and a human rights activist.
When she entered, they asked for help with her name. She explained. She told them she's going to sing a song called "Eccentric" by After Forever.
The laughing started because they thought she couldn't sing, and she was bad at that, and because she wouldn't get it and leave. The girl asked a few times why they are laughing, and why they are saying "no". The judge going backstage was Gordon, from Radio 538 (he is well-known for behaving like this on his show too). I don't know the other members though.
The female judge was also saying Forough can't sing. And when the girl said she didn't think she was that bad they just have gone crazy.
Hope that helps.
She has dignity
by Desertlion (not verified) on Fri May 09, 2008 10:32 AM CDTIt should not matter if she can't sing, no one deserves to be treated like that. What was so funny about her singing that the guy had to go back stage from laughing. Furthermore, I have no idea what the hell that moran was saying but his body language showed as being racist.
This girl really handled it well and kept her dignity, however perhaps she should have left the room earlier.
I like to see how that jackass can sing himself!

the 2 idiots ; urstruly & annonimous 1243
by cyrus- (not verified) on Thu May 08, 2008 11:58 PM CDTyou two jerks are so dumb that is sickening.
the girl has just finished singing half a line of a lyric and that jerk ( like the 2 of you ) starts laughing like he has heard the most funniest joke.
how come the other 3 on the pannel did not laugh?
I saw nothing funny about it , maybe she is not a great singer , but she certainly did not deserve that kind of reception by that dumb ass.
give the girl a break
by mohseni (not verified) on Thu May 08, 2008 09:26 PM CDTParty girl don't hold back. Let it all out.
At leat she had the huevos to get up there and sing.
She was very graceful ...we should contact her
by SheilaKH (not verified) on Thu May 08, 2008 09:23 PM CDTShe showed great sense of pride and stood tall in front of those bigots- one in particular. I think we should invite her for a conversation and ask her thoughts about that man. If his behavior is common or if he was being a bigot.

You get what you deserve
by You (not verified) on Thu May 08, 2008 06:54 PM CDTShe doesn't know she sucks?! someone has to tell her? She can't leave the stage and have to wait till the Judge dies laughing? The Judge had to leave the stage not her!
I do not watch reality TV at all,because....
by Tahirih on Thu May 08, 2008 05:43 PM CDTIt promotes all the dark human characteristics or should I say lack of human virtues.I told this to a colleague and she said but all these bad behaviour is out there and we have to be realistic!!
My reply was that we all know about it therefore we should promote shows that discredit bad behaviour. I could be naive, but people in west are acting like Romans, who got a kick from watching gladiators killing each other.
I felt bad for this poor girl.

POOR GIRL now she is brave
by Mitra from khuzistan (not verified) on Thu May 08, 2008 05:27 PM CDTPOOR GIRL now she is brave
It is all her freinds fault, They should have said something to her. Maybe she does not have any Iranian freinds otherwise some opionated one would had sad to her not to go!
At least she was cool and collected.
just a show
by Anonymousheehee (not verified) on Thu May 08, 2008 05:19 PM CDTShe was just great handling it. you know what you get into in these shows, people are going to laugh so what.
She demonstrated capacity, dignity and strength. People who have no shame participate and they are made to cry by unruly behaivior. Give them a break its just a show.
party girl
by urstruly (not verified) on Thu May 08, 2008 05:10 PM CDTdont be too naive, how do we know it was not all a set up? do we know for sure?
and she did suck and i'm sure she knows that. so maybe she just liked the attention.
she is quite porroo if you ask me and khar to put herself in that situation if she things she's good.
Dignity
by Zion on Thu May 08, 2008 04:12 PM CDTI hardly understood a word, but I think she reacted gracefully and with a lot of dignity towards that creep`s insulting behavior.
She deserves a lot of respect for the way she handled them.
Look, she is terrible! I am

A Sad Clip
by Party Girl on Thu May 08, 2008 02:29 PM CDTJJ:
I had spotted this one a long time ago. It is a sad clip of something that was humiliating and unkind to a fellow countrywoman. I suppose this type of treatment happens in Idol programs all the time. I don't think everything should be "happy-go-lucky" on Iranian.com, and we know that it isn't! But the twinkle of tears in that woman's eyes made me skip this clip when I first saw it. Why share and spread her humiliation? That's what I think.
No translation necessary.
by Anonymous2 (not verified) on Thu May 08, 2008 02:26 PM CDTNo translation necessary. The guy was making fun of her singing talents. It was way to much laughing, but as Simon Cowell might put it "the lady was without an iota of talent." On the other hand, a white Dutch guy laughing at an Iranian woman so hard that he started to cry! There seemed to be a subliminal racist element in play there.
could someone please translate that?
