i think this was quite good. rap is a style of music and so i don't see it going out of style...not anymore than any other genre of music. so it is nothing to "move on" from.
even though i don't prefer to listen to rap, i thought her message and style were quite refreshing. also, i think this style of music is more applicable to first and second generation iranian-americans/europeans. i wish her much success. furthermore, i applaud her for trying something new. i'm getting quite tired of the ever so popular techno-based persian music that is being produced presently.
just like anything novel and fresh, i suspect she will continue to receive mixed feedback. some good, some bad. but i feel that any/most criticism that she will get will be primarily be from those who don't handle change all that well. let's just try to not get too vicious with our words.

Thanks for blessing!.If we go to that extend, then very few poeple living on earth could claim to be Tehrooni Asil !(present company excluded).

If it is the " Tanoor" of "Mohabbat",it won't hurt !.

Ebi jaan, thanks for the link. I read most of your blogs but I don't know how I missed this one. I hope you do forgive me! BTW, it was  really interesting.

Usually, those who brag about being "bache Tehroon" are not pure Tehrani (they're from a different background), and that's how we know. And the same goes for those who brag about being Shemrooni which is even worse and much more obvious to recognize that they're originally from a different city or background. But the good thing about you is that you're honest and proud of your background (kerman).

So, since you're not totally Tehrani yourself, you should stop teasing JJ before he...

Ebi jaan, you're already blessed just by the fact that you are Kermooni.

Daadaas, ye "tanoor" keh jezghaaleh misham!!

Ghorbuneh aaghaa, in taklif-e maa ro roshan kon, belakhareh Tehrooni hasti yaa Kermooni?

I'm just curious cuz for some reason, I always thought you were Kermooni! Raas'esho begoo komaket konim!!! :) lol                                 (Or, maybe you just have a little bit of "Kermooni" in your background)

Ebi jan, that was a hilarious reply!

Let's have the "volak" have it our way.

As we say in Tehroon: "Karetim dash Ebi"!

tnx for defending & protecting the identity of us,i.e."Bache Tehroons",but donot forget that Bache Abadoonis were the  best match for us in Tip Zadan,Khaali Bastan & the use of REYBON aka Rayban. But in any case I think he rather wants to prove to us that he is as cool as Bache Tehroons!.let him have his 15 minutes of fame with his new Tattoo & Tehrooni slangs.

sepaas

best wishes

The message...

by Nader on

The message was good, however, and as it was also mentioned by others, presenting it in rap was kind of a turnoff for me.

By the way, JJ what's up with the lingo bro?

That Tattoo is changing your vocabulary or what. Damesh Joosh:-)

Don't tell me you are one of us now (bache Tehroon):-)

Farinaz speaks for the plight of women... I look forward to more of her politically-charged music that is relevant to our times.

I don't care what it is

I truly hate rap. God, after decades can't they come up with something new?
Rap comes from some tribal thing in West Africa, live poems to show sexual and war prowess.

Hame jangi vo sexy shodan.

Ajab mobarezeye amighi.

I watched 2:19 of it based on your feedback, I salvaged a couple of minutes of my life, as every second counts.

I think she is talking about Iran and not NY anyway.

That's 4 minutes and 13 seconds of my life I won't get back

What is up with this? And why is this Iranian female bad mouthing the Big Apple (New York). It's my firm belief that if she's not from New York, she shouldn't wear a New York hat. Is rap music popular anymore? I haven't heard anything from Eminem in years. And Vanilla Ice is no where to be found. And the rest of the rappers, as I recall are African American. Ebonics and Rap music are old school. America is on the verge of electing it's first African American President. The curtain fell on rap music 15 minutes ago. Let us move on.
Last I read, a lot children of Iranian Rug dealers are not following in their parents trade. Maybe, this talented Iranian female can save up her dollars and open up a Persian Rug dealership.
