Citibank was still left behind after the late Shah departed

The question to ask is what was left in the vaults of these banks when the late Shah departed?

All of the thieves who had borrowed money from Iranian banks in the name of using the capital for infrastructure investments in Iran sent the money to their bank accounts abroad.

Not only did they not use the moeny for infrastructure development, they stole the money and shipped it out of the country causing bankruptcy and closure of many banks in Iran. These were the wonderful people who were the sweet friends, buddies, ministers, "supposed businessmen", head of banks, and family members during the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

I wonder why these Shah parasts always have to resort to bad mouthing and call others by their own mothers' maiden names. Is it because they have no tolerance, no logic, and no manner? Perhaps their mouths are stinky because of years of kissing "His-Imperial-Majesty"'s behind. We did NOT have proverty under the shah asshole. We had taghzieh raayegan for all school age children even in the villages, SIX DAYS A WEEK. And I remember Hossien agha, who was a jooshkaare karkhooneh and husband of the kolfat in our neighbor's house wanted to go visit Europe with his child and wife.

As Long As We Admit We Made Things Worse

I guess it is hard on our pride to admit what a mistake it was to destroy what was there. So we have to justify it by saying it was bad. I find it funny how some people see blackness and negativity in everything. Anything was a proof that we were slave. This is paranoia.

that behind all these luxuries for a few, we also had poverty for millions, political repression, SAVAK, Evin, torture, etc. So those days were not that rosy and not much better than today as far as regular people (those who didn't lose and didn't gain much) are concerned. Ah, those were the days: our American owners let us shine their shoes. The eyes of the ajnabi-parasts, Savakis, followers of Ashraf Pahlavi, and Darius Kadivar are full of tears for the golden era of Shahanshah Aryamehr Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi. If you like, there are still plenty of U.S. puppet states that you can visit: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Indonesia, Guatemala. Even though the U.S. "lost" Iran, it still owns those countries and they still have Citibank branches. And life in those countries is 10 times worse than it is in Iran now.
