It was also the music Score for Elephant Shoes in Farsi. It was something like :

"Ma Meereeem beh Madreseh ba Elephant Shoeh ...."

Humming in Persian

by Aref-Adib on

On my first visit to Salzburg 16 years ago, I particularly enjoyed looking for places where the film was shot. I found myself humming to the Sound of Music in Persian! In one occasion I could hear a girl singing the same song in a distance. When I got close enough I saw it was a very young Iranian girl singing it in Persian too!

Me Too!

I think my aunt alone took me to see this movie three times. I must have seen it about five times as a kid altogether. I also had the 45 rpm singles from the movie, which I played many times a day on my baby gramophone! Not to mention that I had fallen in love with Julie Andrews. I think the love lasted until I was about nine...

Great one, thanks Bahram!

MY FAVORITE FILM EVER ...

by Darius KADIVAR on

LOVED THIS I remember my mother taking me, my brother and sister to this movie in Cinema Aryana in Shiraz one summer afternoon after a good swim in Namazi Swimming pool and a good Pizza in a restaurant on Khiyabooneh Zand.

I will not forget the immense good feeling we all had after seeing this movie and it stayed with me for years. Also I was born the year it came out so it was very special to me.

THANKS FOR SHARING
