A blank piece of paper

Is my latest poem,

And it is all about her.

I was inspired by her black eyes….and the night ahead

…I was inspired by ‘Khayyam’.

I picked the best words from the ‘comprehensive dictionary of sorrow’

They rhyme smoothly with my heartbeat…

I went through it forty four times; though the theme had been vanished…

I kneeled, and I submitted it to her.

Do you dare to know what she did in response?

She did nothing!

She wasn’t there!

I’m still kneeled…and thrilled!
