We shouldn't give up.

by Azarin Sadegh on

Today I learned that only this year two other Iranians, in this same situation, have been executed. In one case, the authorities had promised the family that if they keep quiet, their child wouldn't die. And they did, until they learned he was already executed.

Do you know what does it mean?  It means that we can’t keep quiet. It means that we shouldn’t give up. We should sign the petition, stop fighting with each other over whatever has happened almost 30 years ago. Instead of living in the past, we should pay attention on what is going on today. At this point it really doesn’t matter who was right or who was wrong back then.  During the time we were arguing, a child has been hanged and we didn’t do a thing. So we became all wrong, period.
