Iran: Tehran ruins dome 'adorned' with Jewish symbol

 

 

Monument decorated with tiling that resembles Star of David demolished due to mounting criticism

 The Tehran Municipality has demolished the dome in the city's central square on Tuesday due to criticism that the monument featured Stars of David, which are associated with Judaism.

 

 

The Iranian news agency Fars reported that "part of the dome in Revolution Square, which resembles the symbol of the Zionist regime, has been destroyed by municipality workers."

 

 According to the report, the ornamental tiling that adorned the dome has been removed, leaving it bare. It is unclear whether the dome is to be overlaid again with more appropriately-themed tiling.

So the Islamic Republic draws a distinction between Zionism and Judaism. Even if the dome was deliberately engraved with the Star of David, so what? Aren't Jews 'People of the Book'?

Iranian Jewry should not be surprised if their symbols and icons are being destroyed; the IR has not even spared any images of pre-Islamic Iranian heritage from destruction such as:

The only way this madness can stop is through pure and unadulterated violvence against the Islamic Republic Regime. Violence is the ONLY solution. Violence against the Islamic Republic is a noble cause.
