Stretched out between the world's largest lake and the Alborz mountain range lies the beautiful Mazandaran Province which attracts millions of Iranian and international tourists to its eye-catching nature scenery and fine weather.

Badab Sourt natural springs are among the many sites in the northern Iranian province, which are located south of the provincial capital of Sari and at height of 1,841 meters above sea level.

Experts say the springs were created during the Paleocene Era when the latest layers of the Alborz mountain range were also formed.

Badab Sourt is made of a range of stepped travertine terrace formations that have been formed over thousands of years as flowing water from two different mineral hot springs cooled and deposited carbonate minerals on the mountainside.

They are nothing compared to these. There are many great things to see there like the Tetons and Old Faithful but the Springs are a big disappointment.
