After concluding seven projects that are currently underway by the NIOEC and Iran's private sector, the Islamic Republic's gasoline production will increase from the current 42 million liters per day to 186 million liters per day, IRNA quoted NIOEC Managing Director Farhad Ahmadi as saying on Tuesday.

Ahmadi added that the expenditure for the projects underway stands at over USD 14 billion.

Gasoline currently takes up a 16-percent share of products by Iran's refineries; however, once the seven projects are completed, the figure will surge to 35 percent, the Iranian official said.

Ahmadi made the remarks during a press briefing on Iran's 16th International Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition due to open on April 15.

Among participating countries in the exhibition are Austria, Spain, Australia, England, Italy, Germany, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Russia, France, the Netherlands, Norway, India, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Brazil.

Iran's 16th International Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition is scheduled to open in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Friday, April 15 in the presence of Iranian top officials and ambassadors of foreign states, and will be open to public from April 16 to April 19.
