TEHRAN, Mar. 30, 2011 (Xinhua News Agency) -- Iranian Oil Minister Masoud Mirkazemi said that Iran is planing to invest 90 billion U.S. dollars in the country's South Pars gas and oil field, Iran's Energy and Oil Information Network reported on Wednesday.

Mirkazemi said that about 60 billion dollars would be invested in the upstream projects and about 30 billion dollars in the downstream projects, the report said.

So far, 10 billion dollars has been invested in the different petrochemical projects in the region and another 20 billion dollars would be invested in other petrochemical projects of the South Pars field, he was quoted as saying.

The South Pars/North Dome field is a natural gas condensate field located in the Persian Gulf. It is one of the world's largest gas fields, shared between Iran and Qatar.

According to the International Energy Agency, the field holds an estimated 50.97 trillion cubic meters of in-situ gas and some 50 billion barrels of condensates.

Ey Bi Savad: it is a fact that the IRI is ranked somewhere between 103rd and 132nd in the world in life expectancy and between 119th and 155th in infant mortality rate.

Ey Bi Savad: that animal Khomeini called the war a "blessing" and refused to make peace after he had a chance in 1982, because he wanted to march into Karbala and then Qods. Remember? Most of the deaths and destruction occurred between 1982-1988. Finally in 1988, that animal Khomeini "drank the poison cup" (as he called it himself) and agreed to make peace. You can blame those lost lives and property on Khomeini and his IRI followers for not making peace years earlier.

Ey Bi Savad: the fact that domestic oil consumption has increased and the population has grown has nothing to do with oil production, only oil exports. The IRI's production has fallen by almost half. Understand that, Ey Bi Savad?

But what do you expect when even the Groupies of the regime itself insist on living in the West rather than under the Garbage Regime?

Bahoosh jan because

In other words, why has the mullah-led terrorist, murdering regime
failed to give the Iranian people a decent standard of living?

Bahoosh jan because the because you use your flawed statistics, because the US dollar was worth a lot more ten than now, because the population of Iran has doubled more than twice, becase we went thruogh a horrific war for eight years thanks to your masters for supporting Saddam in every way and shape they could, because due to a steep industrial production of Iran the cnsumption of oil has skyrocketed domestically and thus leaving less oil for export and last but not the least because we have always had people like you who love to be the bend-overs for Iran's enemies and in result slow the national aspirations of Iran in every way.

You got it now I hope? or do I have to explain again?

What is the reason for IRI's pathetic status?

by AMIR1973 on

After 32 years in power and access to the world's 2nd largest natural gas reserves and 3rd largest oil reserves, the IRI's life expectancy and infant mortality are not ranked even in the top 100 among nations! IRI's ranking in those basic living standards are lower than many countries even poorer than Iran. In the 1970s, Iran produced over 6 million barrels per day (reaching a peak of 6.6 million in 1976) and now it produces just over half of that; its GDP per capita ranking was about 47th in the world; its ranking now is much, much lower. Its female literacy rate is still lower than many of the other countries in the Mideast, even though some of them are either more conservative societies or poorer than Iran. In other words, why has the mullah-led terrorist, murdering regime failed to give the Iranian people a decent standard of living?
