Today is Neda Agha Soltan’s birthday. She was shot and killed on June 20, 2009 during a post-election protest in Iran. Her bloody death was video recorded with a mobile phone and spread on YouTube. Neda Agha Soltan would have been 28 years old today.

Happy Birthday sweet Neda. I pray you are safe and peaceful on the other side of the Cosmos. If there is a heaven I truly hope your soul is preserved and protected by angels. You embodied the hope for freedom for millions of Iranians. God bless you.
