Two recent articles from the Los Angeles Times, concerning Iran and North Korea respectively, illustrate a disappointing reality that America must contend with in the early 21st Century. That reality is the unmistakable decline of United States influence in the world.

No two nations have tested American resolve in the last few years quite like Iran and North Korea. Alarmingly, the resolve of those two nations seems to be much stronger than our own.
