The parallel doesn't hold, regardless of our position about sanctions on IRI. The argument is about underlying rejection of Israel, a democratic society -albeit with serious shortfalls- as a country. No matter how you put it (and you put it as 'sanctioning Iran') this one is not about Iran. It's about the regime controlling Iran.

The only rule

Zio-fascist (including their IC on-board relatives)  follow is notoriously simple. That is, so long as you chop off limbs, gouge eyes, rape, bulldoze, drop aerial bombs, use phosphorous bombs to burn flesh or other barbarities to women, men and children of NON JEWS be it Muslims, Christians, Arabs, Turks, Americans, Iranians or any other is "fair play" and "justified" regardless of the Internationally established bonds and rules.
