A delegation comprising Russian nuclear experts has arrived in Tehran to visit the Tehran Research Reactor and hold talks on the production of radioisotopes.

The Russian experts hailed the high quality of work conducted by the staff at the research reactor, spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Shirzadian said Wednesday.

"After visiting the Tehran Research Reactor, the Russian experts have realized Iran's concerns over supplying fuel to the reactor and they stressed the need for helping the reactor continue its activities," Shirzadian said.

Iran, Turkey and Brazil issued a trilateral nuclear declaration in the Iranian capital on May 17.

According to the declaration, Iran is considering to ship 1200 kg of its low enriched uranium to Turkey in exchange for 120 kg of 20-percent enriched fuel it requires for producing medical isotopes at the Tehran Research Reactor.
