Nowruz Resolution Gains Traction

January 27th, 2010, Washington, D.C. - Today the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform passed H. Res 267, the resolution in honor of the Iranian New year (Nowruz), therefore moving it one step closer to being voted on in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Furthermore, PAAIA has worked with Congressman Honda’s office over this past year to promote the Nowruz resolution and gain co-sponsors. This effort has led to the addition of Representatives Brian Bilbray (CA-50th), John Culberson (TX-7th), Randy Forbes (VA-4th), Suzanne Kosmas (FL-24th), Shelia Jackson Lee (TX-18th), Carolyn Maloney (NY-14th), Jerry McNerney (CA-11th), John Mica (FL-7th), Michael Rogers (MI-8th), Linda Sanchez (CA-39th), Rob Wittman (VA-1st), and Frank Wolf (VA-10th) amongst the many co-sponsors who have signed... >>>
