On the afternoon of November 3, 2009, the United States House of Representatives voted in favor of House Resolution 867 (H.Res.867), an AIPAC-backed bill that urges both President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to "oppose unequivocally any endorsement or further consideration of the "Report of the United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict," referred to commonly as the "Goldstone Report." With this vote, the US Congress has not only enshrined its opposition to investigations into war crimes and crimes against humanity found to be committed during last winter's Israeli massacre of over 1,400 Palestinians in the closed-off Gaza Strip, but has also affirmed its outrageous and unconscionable commitment to Israel's continuous unfettered aggression and singular unaccountability to international law, rules of military engagement, human rights, and basic morality.

In their successful effort to (yet again) shield the State of Israel from any and all scrutiny or criticism over its illegal use of collective punishment and excessive force against an imprisoned, impoverished, and defenseless civilian population, Congressional supporters of H.Res.867 sought to discredit the UN's 575-page report of meticulously-documented human rights violations. U.S has been one of the highest sources for aid for the Palestinians. Billions of U.S taxpayer money is aiding ordinary Palestinians as we speak.

My dear slow Kashani, Just like your "lack" of understanding about Israel, I have to educate you again on another subject! Have you missed this common knowledge that the catle and sheep breeders also spent a lot of money and resources on their domestic animals just to have them slaughtered in the end? Sadley, the answer is YES!!!!!

Be aware, I am doing exactly the same to you as the sheep breeders do to their sheep! The only difference is that you taking a heck of a lot longer to grow to proper size. ;0)

People who say “AIPAC control U.S policy”, do not have any response to the question then why is U.S calling and working towards an independent Palestinian state? And towards stopping Israeli settlements? And other pro Palestinian policies like aids,,,

Its funny that you have to copy what the “Palestinian Think Tank” site says and post on here. Shows that you cannot distinguish between propaganda and analysis, at best, and you are perpetuating un-American propaganda yourself, at worse.

 

U.S has been one of the highest sources for aid for the Palestinians. Billions of U.S taxpayer money is aiding ordinary Palestinians as we speak. U.S has called for the discontinuation of settlement building by Israel and has brokered just peace between Israel and Egypt, Jordan, and is in the process of doing so with the Palestinian authority and Syria. U.S has openly said, and worked towards, establishing a Palestinian state. You call that “crimes” against Palestinians?

 

People like you are so brainwashed by the Leftist propaganda, you have become masters of parroting clichés. This is a struggle between Israel and Palestine, if U.S assists Israel, and by the way at the same time assists Egypt, Jordan and Palestine as much, well, Palestinians get support and assistance from others as well. Israel is an indepenedent country and takes decisions on its own, just as we see how they are upset when the U.S puts pressure on them.

So to vote not to investigate is a sign that there is some thing that they worried to become known to the world… not realizing that the world is aware of the Israeli war crimes already.
