Iran’s hopes of automatic qualification for the 2010 World Cup are looking slim after they drew 0-0 with North Korea in Pyongyang on Saturday. Team Melli need to win both of their remaining games to have a chance of finishing in the top two while North Korea will seal their place in South Africa by beating Saudi Arabia on June 17. It was an entertaining match with Iran on top in the first half and North Korea shading the second with Iranian goalkeeper Mehdi Rahmati making a number of impressive saves.
