in USA if you use drug in any place you will be arrested and will be jailed, then it comes to using alcohol when you are not 21 or older , again that will put you in jail . that’s the fact , you can ask around .

and about the justice in America , that’s a joke and deep down you know that .

last night a 15 years old kid get shot by tamer and died. which make it 386 sense 2001. another time not long ago a Bart officer killed a 15 years old black kid who was unarmed. and thinks like that happen daily in USA .

law is law. you are not allowed to break it or when you do you need to face the consciousness.

we can not live in lawless society , which is the number one problem in Iran. people have lost the respect for law and it is not a new think.

and Mr. Hamseda Gadimi . I have been in Iran and I know about drug problem in Iran. I been in northern part and saw how people are dealing drugs. but in the same way un just thanks Iran’s action against the drug trafficking.

and about the job think , I love it when you make it like its government job to make job for youth . have you forgotten that you don’t pay any taxes in Iran ?

when you don’t pay taxes , your government own you nothing. its fair and clear.

and farhad if you look for inhuman law you can look closer and see the love of your life , Jews state with its great laws. so if you like that kind of law can really see why you are so angered by Iranian laws .

we you see the life of American here in us and Europe you see kids from age of 16 or 18 get out the house and look for jobs. they work any job from garbage man to waiter to.... and no one here is waiting for gov to find him a job.

why ? because they need to survive, as Iranian I know a lot of people who don’t work and still live with their parent and don’t do any work. you know them too.

so let stay back and look at the problem and try to fixed not just like farhad get to no turning back.

How dare does the IRI make up these inhumane laws and enforce them on people and expect people to follow them? If that was the case, what is the value for all the people that throughout the history in all cultures fought and gave up all they had for justice and equality? You’re basically saying that “people should accept being oppressed!” in everywhere except America. the story is actually not that unusal.  it may be unusual that there were 104 people in the party; hence, increasing their risk of getting busted.  but drug, alcohol use, and mimicking the behavior of youth outside the country is not unusal.

thanks ali p. for sharing the isna version of the news.  for some readers such as gol-dust who like to shoot the messenger, an iranian news source may appease him.

nojanthegreat, drug use in iran is notrious, prevalent, and has been going on for centuries if not millenia.  finding drugs in iran is extremely easy.  i know many people in iran or those who travel there describing people approaching them in the street (unsolicited) trying to peddle their drugs.  i personally have been approached two times on my last travel.  for a country where unemployment and underemployment is rampant, using drugs is a way to escape reality.  and the government typically turns a blind eye to this problem since it is more difficult for them to create jobs such as for your cab drivers in iran (if you plan to travel there) who probably have a higher education than you.  there are plenty of reports you can find on the web to enlighen you on drug abuse in iran.  here's a research conducted by iranian sholars inside iran:
