Iran to supply Pakistan with free electricity

Iran plans to supply Pakistan with 100 megawatt electricity free of charge, says the Iranian Ambassador to Islamabad Mashaallah Shakeri.

“All the groundwork in this connection has been completed and the power supply would start as soon as Pakistan finalizes work on transmission lines,” said Shakeri in a meeting with Pakistani Federal Minister for Communications Arbab Alamgir.

According to the Pakistani Dawn newspaper, Shakeri said his country would transit the electricity to the Gwadar Port to ease Pakistan's growing power crisis.

Iran agreed last year to export 1,100 megawatt of electricity to Pakistan to help it overcome shortages in areas bordering Iran, especially in Gwadar.

Tehran also extended an offer to supply wind turbines to Pakistan, which is facing an electricity shortfall of more than 3,000 megawatt.

Tehran has suggested the establishment of joint venture companies in water and electricity sectors between Iran and Pakistan and expressed Iran's desire to have a sizable investment in hydroelectric plants.

well i have 2 brother one in texas and one in tehran. he is in his 40's and married with one beutiful son , daniel. so i think i am ok on that. but in case of killing prisoners , most of them were lefties like todei or khalgi, which you dislike . rest of them were mojahedin khalg , again an islamik/marxism group that you dislike. so why are you worry about their end story ? i am sorry to know they were killed but i do remmember 30 mil + iranian dident do anything about it, did they ? most of them call the vavak to give info on this activist. and iranian gov stop a long term civil war and basicly save iran. as you can see mojahedin today are still working against iran and will not give up and return to live like other 70 mil who live in iran and sar rebulding iran . so in answer to your add i think i will thanks iranian gov that stop civil war in iran so we dont become african country or like afganestan .

great news , i hope they work on that gas deal with pakistan and india . i hope they start working on relation with afganestan too our brothers need our help . the future of afgan bazar can be a good reason to put the foundation of friendship and partnership. its about the time that we get it right , good job on iranian gov part.
