Israeli drones attacked Iranian convoys in Sudan

LONDON (AFP) — Israel used unmanned drones to attack clandestine Iranian convoys in Sudan that were attempting to smuggle rockets into Gaza, Britain's Sunday Times newspaper reported.

The paper said that western diplomats confirmed that Israel attacked the Iranian truck convoys in late January and the first week of February in the remote Sudan desert, just outside the Red Sea town of Port Sudan.

The convoys had been tracked by agents from Mossad, Israel's overseas intelligence agency, the report added.

The Sudanese government said this week it was investigating the possibility that Israel was behind the deadly air strikes, but so far had found no proof.

Foreign ministry spokesman Ali Sadiq said there were two separate bombing raids against smugglers, killing about 40 people.

The Sunday Times said that had the rockets been delivered to Hamas, the militant Islamic group that controls Gaza, they would have raised the stakes in the conflict with Israel.

It quoted defence sources as saying the convoys were carrying Fajr-3 rockets, which have a range of more than 40 miles (65 kilometres), and were split into sections to be smuggled through tunnels into Gaza from Egypt.

"They built the Fajr in parts so it would be easy to smuggle them into Gaza, then reassemble them with Hamas experts who learnt the job in Syria and Iran," a source told the paper.

Habibi, I am from Israel, and also have a question for you. If it wasn't for the United States or the West, would the Kuwaitis, or the Lebanese  have a county back in 1975 & 1991?
If not then what was the reason for Hafez Al Assad and Saddam Hussein to decide these two ancient groups not ever have a land of their own, or a land to be able to hold on to?
Is it possible that leaders of Syria & Iraq thought the Lebanese and Kuwaitis don't deserve to have one and no one can force Kuwait, or Lebanon  down the throat of the map of the Earth?

You seem to be a smart cookie bashing the same people who had liberated your country back in 1991, from the yoke of Saddam Hussein?. Nice way to thank the West.

Perhaps, while visiting Iran, you should try some of their famous ghorme' Sabze, or the pollow-e' keshmesh, to help you get back to realities. (don't forget to tell them Mazloom had sent you)

Jews history in Israel is literary carved on every stone in Jerusalem. Their decedents deserve to come back to the land of their ancestors, after 1900 years in exile.

It would be lot more constructive for you to learn about the rich history of all the inhabitance in the region - instead of your own myopic shi'ite one. Then I am sure you will be far more tolerant and pleasant to live with next door to you in peace and harmony.

Good to see people like you here. Let me say something though if I may.

 

We all support the Palestinian people struggle, however, Iranian regime is a monstrous regime that treats its people like sub-humans, and doesn’t give a rat’s ass about what happens to Palestinians! All its doing is by bashing Israel is 1- Divert attention of what itself is doing to its people in Iran. 2- Get support among young Muslims so it can use them as its terrorism-wing.

 

IRI doesn’t want what’s good for Kuwait or anyone else. Remember when they tried to assassinate Sheikh Jaber right after the revolution? This regime is built on terror. Just because they claim to be “shite” doesn’t mean we should support them. There are many shites whom are thieves, robberers, murderers, and others. Just because they have the “shite” label, doesn’t mean they are good people. Kuwaitis are very civilized and cultured, they can never live a single day under the conditions that IRI has created for the Iranian people.

 

Please my friend, support Palestine and Iranian people, but never support the monster that is the Iranian regime.

To my Iranian brothers, I am a Shiah Muslim and am proud of the Iranian people. It is not easy to get away from the super powers control of our government and you people did it. Most of my friends don't like Iran but are amazed at Iran and in some ways envy you.

I am in this site because I wanted to find out more about Iran. I am going to Shiraz, then Isfahan and finally Ramsar via Tehran. I will stay in Iran for about three weeks. My friend Ali is going to show me around. Can't wait to see the country and the people who have done so much in a short time :)

Israelis have the same right as anyone else to defend their civilians. Maybe when those stupid moron Hamas leaders in Gaza will realize that, the Mullahs in Tehran are playing the Arabs as fools. They are not serving the goal of the Palestinians to live in peace in their own state. Rather, play the Pals as another pion in the Mullahs chess play in the region for hegemony.Then we will have peace in the region.

If Hamas, or the Sudanese do not wish to get hit, then they should not give reasons for others to hit them. Period.

There are certain people in the world today that totally accept what Israel is doing as right. What are we going to do? Nothing. But let's see how long the country can last like this. I bet less than thirty give and take a few. Let him master bate with Israeli "power". It's almost comical.
One thing for sure, Iranians no matter what regime, will never forget Israel and its ugly behaviors, that is a sure thing. I wish them luck, they are going to need it.

I -- Z--rael is the most power fascist regime in the world, however no one would dare to mention that. They control the media around the globe. At the same time China is supplying weapons all around conflicts in Africa and no one dares to touch them.
