An Inconvenient Truth About Iran

Very simply, it is that we are dealing, once again, Hitler-like, with a highly dangerous and obsession-directed leader -- Ahmadinejedad -- of a well-armed and economically important (oil-rich) country, Iran. Furthermore, that particular leader of his country, Iran, sees the world -- again, very Hitler-like -- single-mindedly through the lens of an all-consuming and highly personal obsession of his own making: the absolute need for the destruction of what he calls "the Zionist entity," in other words, the State of Israel.

who gets to determine which is propaganda?????

"called the extermination of six million Jews during World War II "a myth," claiming that Jews have played up Nazi atrocities during the Holocaust in a bid to extort sympathy for Israel from European governments."

"The Iranian Holocaust denial conference, "Review of the Holocaust: Global Vision" convened by the Iranian Foreign Ministry in Tehran December 11-12, 2006, brought together a diverse group of anti-Semites, including white supremacists and neo-Nazis, radical anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian activists, and Islamic fundamentalists.  The gathering included racists such as David Duke, former Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, and notorious Western anti-Semites and known Holocaust deniers, as well as members of Neturei Karta, a fringe anti-Israel Jewish group that advocates the "dismantling" of the Jewish state of Israel."

//www.momentmag.com/Exclusive/2006/2006-12/200612-IranFeature.html  this was a great article.

"By equating Israel with Nazism, anti-Semites hoped to spread the "message that the Jewish nation has no right to exist, because the Nazis, according to international consensus, have no right to exist," Hermon explained, adding that this was the charge in Iran's state anti-Semitism"

"It is certainly true that not all anti-Israel protest movements are anti-Semitic. But those that have declared their undying opposition to Israel while excusing Iran's threats to destroy this country gives lie to their claim that they are not anti-Israel or anti-Semitic."

and perhaps the most interesting comment..."We actually have kind of an answer to that question. Here's a very crude comparison, in the form of a Google search on Sharon Belgium Prosecute. It's obviously not a great comparison, but you can tell that something's up since the second Google search is coming up with almost a quarter of a million hits. The word you're looking for is "obsessed". As in "you can tell that someone is anti-Semitic when they're obsessed with finding the 'Jewish angle' or the 'Jewish influence' to everything".

do  you honestly... HONESTLY... think that there is such a huge difference between anti-semitism and anti-zionism????

i swore i wasn't going to get into this kind of discussion but the "right is right and fair is fair" in me just can't let this go when i see a CONSTANT barrage of these blogs.
