Iraqi Forces Blockading Iranian Opposition Camp

An Iranian opposition group based in Iraq said Iraqi forces are preventing passage of basic supplies to its compound north of Baghdad. The Mojahedin-e Khalq, or People's Mujahedeen of Iran, said the blockade of Camp Ashraf began Thursday. In late January, Iraq's National Security Advisor Mouwaffak al-Rubaie said the group must leave Iraq within two months. He added the decision to close the camp, home to about 3,500 people, was irreversible.

I have split feelings about them

On the one hand, the IRI butchered alot of these mojahedin left wingers after the revolution. Today, they are ghosts stuck out in the desert with no military or political power, being harmless and irrelevant. And no matter what they have done, they are Iranians, I dont doubt they love their country, but they are/were seriously misguided.

On the other hand, they are traitors. They did sell the country out for their own political interests. This weighs in. This is a fact.

If you ask me, their leaders should be butchered if they ever came to Iran. The soldiers should get pardons by the IRI, so that we can put this shamefull episode behind us.

That's what you get when you sell your country to a butcher like Saddam Hussein. Although my sympathy goes to the victimized pawns of this vicious cult left behind in Camp Ashraf, I wish the worst for their corrupt leaders who enjoy their miserable lives in Paris and other western sanctuaries.

روزنامه جمهورى ارگان ولىفقيه ارتجاع در سرمقاله خود تحت عنوان ”مجاهدين و دولت عراق“ نوشت: ”مدتى است كه ما مردم ايران عادت كردهايم هر وقت يك مسئول عراقى به ايران مىآيد در آستانه سفر او و همينطور در ايامى كه در ايران حضور دارد اخبار خوشى از اخراج قريبالوقوع اعضاى مجاهدين خلق از عراق بشنويم و البته بعد از بازگشت آن مسئول عراقى به كشورش براى مدتى اين موضوع مسكوت بماند. شايد آخرين مورد همزمان با سفر نورى المالكى نخست وزير عراق به تهران بود كه حدود يكماه قبل صورت گرفت و در آن ايام مسئولان عراقى با قاطعيت اعلام كردند كه مجاهدين را بهزودى و با قيد «تا چند روز ديگر» از عراق اخراج خواهند كرد. همان زمان روزنامه جمهورى اسلامى با انتشار سرمقالهاى اعلام كرد به اين وعدهها نبايد اعتنا كرد چرا كه اصولا تصميمگيرى درباره موضوع ماندن يا نماندن مجاهدين در عراق در اختيار آمريكاست و مسئولان عراقى در اين زمينه تصميم گيرنده نيستند“ .

ارگان ولىفقيه ارتجاع افزود: ”در صداقت دولتمردان عراقى و اينكه آنها مايل به حضور مجاهدين در كشورشان نيستند ترديدى نداريم ولى اين واقعيت را نبايد ناديده گرفت كه عراق اكنون تحت اشغال ارتش آمريكاست و دولت آمريكا از مجاهدين به مثابه ابزارى براى تحقق اهداف خود اعم از آنچه در عراق دنبال مىكند و آنچه در خصومت با ايران درصدد است اعمال نمايد بهرهبردارى مىنمايد. به همين جهت بسيار طبيعى است كه آمريكاييها مانع اخراج مجاهدين از عراق شوند و دولتمردان عراقى نتوانند تصميم خود را در اين زمينه عملى نمايند. روشن است كه مانع اصلى برخورد با مجاهدين خلق در عراق اشغالگران آمريكائى هستند. بنابر اين بايد تكليف اين موضوع در برخورد جدى با آمريكاييها روشن شود“ .

با توجه به اين واقعيتها دولت عراق فقط درصورتى مىتواند با مجاهدين برخورد كند و آنها را اخراج نمايد كه خود تحت اشغال آمريكا نباشد. قبل از آنكه اشغال عراق به پايان برسد و دولت عراق حاكميت كامل خود را بازيابد در عمل امكان اجرائى ساختن تصميماتى از قبيل اخراج منافقين وجود نخواهد داشت.
