Iranian leader says Mideast peace efforts are doomed to fail

Reporting from Vienna – Iran's supreme leader delivered a blistering speech today in support of militant opposition to Israel, describing Obama administration and moderate Arab efforts to bring peace to the Middle East as doomed to failure.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the ranking cleric who is Iran's most powerful political and religious figure, spoke at a Tehran conference this morning as U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited pro-American Middle East leaders, including Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank. "The deliverance of Palestine cannot be obtained through begging from the United Nations or the dominating powers, and more so from the usurper regime," he said in a speech at a conference in support of the Palestinian cause, according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency. "The sole path of its deliverance is through resistance and fortitude."

I guess you already read others reply. No need to add. After all they love Iran just as much as you do. They speak the truth, no you.

The bottom line for the Iranian bloggers is: what is more important to them. Iran, or Palestinians.

Is the well being of Iranian people, who suffer 29% unemployment, 25% inflation. Or, their hard earned money is wasted by the Mullah on Arabs, and places which will not contribute anything to improve their lives.?

As much as I would like to see a just and fair solution to the Palestinian problem, their leaders in the past have proved time and time again, to bite the hand which feed them, or stub the back of those who came to their aid.

These Mullahs are oblivious that during the Iran_Iraq war, Arafat was kissing Saddam Hussein, with "shookran Ra'ise - nice job killing Iranians".

Wake up mister / Mis to reality of life.

I've never cared for much of Israel’s foreign policy and their disgraceful mistreatment of Palestinians, theft of their lands and disregard for international law etc, but what have they got to do with Iran?

What business is the Israeli/Palestinian conflict of Iran's? Why has the Islamic Republic been spending huge amount of the Iranian people's money on Hamas and Hezbollah?

Do you see the Mullahs spending money on the people of Tibet who are under Chinese occupation? Do you see the Islamic Republic spending money the Darfur people and the Mullahs opposing the Sudanese regime that's been killing Darfurians in tens of thousands?

So why are they solely fixed on Israel? Why does Israel have to be Iran's enemy? How do we expect Israel to react when from day one IRI's slogan has been "marg bar Israel"? Why does the IRI not focus on treating the Iranian people better and improving their lives, instead of crying a river for the Palestinians? Who made Iran the caretaker of Palestinians and the Lebanese Shias?

In short, as our Azari hamvatans say: akheh Israel beh Iran sananah?

Why do you guys always look at everything from Mullahs' point of view?

Israel does not and has never interfered in Iran's internal affairs regarding how mullahs treat Iran's citizens and inhabitants, but Iran's mullahs have been constantly interfereing in Israel's affairs and the lives of its inhabitants since the inception of the Islamic Republic.

Almost all of you guys justify this interference on part of your mullahs and claim so hypocritically that after all human beings must care about the fate and well being of other human beings then I ask why on earth you lying hypocrits have never cared about the lives and well being of millions of other human beings who also happen to be muslims and whose basic human rights are being violated every second of every day in other parts of the world like in Sudan or in Chechniya.

Israel's leaders could be whatever, the bottomline is that it is none of yours and your mullahs' damned business.

Why do you always look the other way? Go take care of your own problems and fix your own miserable country if you can.

Of course he alog the rest of the regime are dictators. Stupid? Nobody rules any country if he is stupid! I think you are mixing up dictatorship w/ stupidity. Was Bush stupid too? He was an idiot, but not stupid! Are Israeli leaders stupid? Of course not! But they sure are bunch of a****** criminals who should all be put in jail in the same cell as khameni, bush, godfather cheney, olmert, natanyahu, barak, livni, Moshe Dayan, Golda Meyer etc.

You see, when you cannot argue with his points, you start name calling since you are speechless. How dares he to attack Israeli actions and Hillary's (AIPAC's pupet)! You are defending israel, egypt, US, UAE, kuwait etc. Now since when any of these guys are good guys? Israel is Iran's No. enemy! Think for a change!
