Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday submitted to parliament a 282.7 billion dollar budget for the year to March 2010 in the face of low oil prices and high domestic inflation. State television said the overall budget for the Iranian year 1388 was set at 282.7 billion dollars, including 202 billion dollars from state-owned firms, saying it was around 2.6 percent lower than the current year. Former economy minister Davood Danesh Jafari said the year ahead was expected to be "difficult" because of the expected fall in oil income.

Well I'll be damned.

GDP (2008)

Iran: $13,100 (80% of that comes from Oil revenue)

Israel: $28,900

Take the oli revenue from the equation and tell me which one of these countries  is closer to the beggar's door.

At the same time, take the Mullahs out of the same equation and see the numbers for Iran match that of Israel at no time.
