Shadi (shaa.dee) in Farsi means joy, laughter, celebration, a party. Many people say the name fits me. I was born in a land that was once upon a time called Persia. India was close by and I loved watching their movies on the big screen. Mesmerized by all the colors, the dancers, the songs, at age five, I frequently dressed in saris and entertained my family by rolling on the grass, disappearing and re-appearing behind trunks of trees. During my early teens, I often improvised on guitar and piano, mostly playing and humming sad and somber melodies. When my family later emigrated to America, my favorite pastime was being alone, listening and dancing several hours each day to pop, soul, jazz and World music >>> shadismusic.com
