MORTAD was formed by vocalist/lyricist Somi Arian in December 2008, immediately joined by guitarist Fraser McLeish who has since laid down the majority of the band's musical structure. Guitarist Tony Schonewald, Bassist Roman Markowski and drummer Paul Edwards joined the band throughout the year 2009. The band, having written down the material for their debut album, are currently in the process of recording and performing live within the United Kingdom. Mortad on Facebook and Myspace.
