After the 2003 Bam earthquake, Navazesh kindergarten hosted about 30 children in two classes – one for under 2-year old children, the other for 3 to 6 years old. As part of its psycho-social support programmes, UNICEF Iran provided supplies and teachers’ incentives to a total of 36 kindergartens run by Iran’s State Welfare Organization in Bam.
