Shilan's mother looks satisfied as she carries her home. When asked why she has put her daughter through this, she says she does not know but it is what the elders and Islam have willed.

This is against the law of
by Anonymous2009 (not verified) on Sat Jan 24, 2009 12:13 PM PSTThis is against the law of humanity!
It is practiced in Africa and Arab cultivated countries.
When we stop fighting over Oil, Land, Money and all that causes the wars and focus on humanity that is when we can begin to eradicate these HORRIBLE crimes against humanity.
As long as we sit and attack each other for where we were born, our color of skin, color of hair or what religion was forced upon us, we are NOT going to help humanity.
For now, all I can see here is accusing and attacking instead of finding ways to stop this brutality or finding ways of speaking for these innocent children who have no one to speak for them.
This is as horrible as the sex trafficking in the U.S., free-sex with children in Europe, Darfur war, and killing and destruction in Africa, Gaza, etc.
We should be HUMAN and not look at the color of skin, hair, or religion. Just because innocent kids are born in those cultures, they do not deserve to be killed or bombed.
And, I have news for you. Those who have money but still believe in that system still live far away.
Have you not heard of all the proud parents killing their daughters in CANADA because they had boyfriends? They are mostly from India or Arab countries. So, by bombing a region you cannot get rid of the back-ward mind set.
You need to love humanity first, be dedicated to be a human and then educate and rescue them from their mindset that has not been educated for centuries.
Don’t attack the people because they did not have opportunity to be educated, attack the system that has kept them backwards to rob them from their natural resources.
Has anyone wondered why these crimes are most often in areas with most fertile land, Africa – Diamond, Arabia – Oil?
Think, study, educate yourself, so you can help humanity!
WTF

Notes:
by Dr-Tehran (not verified) on Thu Jan 22, 2009 12:54 AM PST1- Iraq is not Iran!!!
2-This action is not performed in Iran. It is restricted to some Arab/African tribes(Especially in Egypt) and some parts of the Kurdistan of Iraq.
3- This is not an Islamic rule. There exists no religous reason behind this.
4- Unlike male circumcision, Physicians seriously warn against female circumcision as it can harm them both physicaly and mentally.
and when i say......
by mahmoudg on Wed Jan 21, 2009 09:55 AM PSTHence why i am in support of a bombing campaign to remove the Islamic Republic is not so that just a bunch of backward Mullahs are removed, but also a belief systm, AKA Islam, that has brought such shame to the Persian culture. It may take us a while to put us back on the road to civilizaition that Islam once again denied us, but we will get there.

This is another high light of Iranian "CULTURE". Good job to bring this up. Instead of attacking Arabs, Afghans or other people who are considered inferior to "Iranian" it is that Iranian look in the mirror for a while.
