There was an Iranian actress (whose name I forget) who had been featured in Playboy in the seventies.

Iranian men on Iranian.com are mostly Quinquagenarians and Sexagenarians. Esfand is not, nor did he claim to be, 40 years old (a Quadragenarian). Just like Faramarz, he is in his 50's. Technically speaking, the lot of these men ARE old enough to be Sharmine's father.  Just saying. We Iranians are taught to respect our elders from a very young age.  It's just really hard to respect some 50+ and 60+ men who want to act like drunk louts in a brothel when they see sexy young women. Just saying.

4 Million vs. 4,000

This only proves that with a diaspora of appx. 4 million - we have the same cross section of activities, as other societies. . If the diaspora was just 4,000 - and this lady was on this front page, I'd wonder, but with 4 million or so, then anything goes. Just a simple: "No Comment"

(Although, in the US at least,  Iranian-Americans are rated #1 from among 66 ethnic communities, for Education - a Zogby poll.)

When I taught in the USA, I had a colleague who was a member of Playboy club.  He used to say that these girls exposed themselves for living (money).  I disagreed.  I do not know what the numbers are now, but back then (twenty-five years ago) it was $100K for centerfold.  Was this a lot of money then?  I would say no. 

I cannot answer for Shermine and other women, but it cannot be for money or power that these women expose themselves for the whole world to see them.

Neekoo, I assume all types of people including old women roaming this website too… just saying.  On a related story, I know an American who has been happily married for over 45 years.  Dave now is in his late 70s.  He and his wife decided not to have children.  Dave has subscribed to Playboy for most of his married life.  Several months ago he sent me a notice of Turkish girl who was in the Playboy magazine.  I will get another e-mail once American playboy prints Sherwin’s picture.

None of my business what others do, but I won’t pay to watch her or other girls…. just saying.
