In an unprecedented action The International Criminal Court in The Hague has just indicted a sitting head of state with five counts including crime against humanity, torture and rape. In their statement the court has declared it does not recognize immunity for a head of state and asked all countries to cooperate with the court. An arrest warrant has been issued for Sudan’s President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir, an old ally of the Islamic Republic.
