After a 15 month trial, Alberto Ken’ya Fujimori who served as the President of Peru from July 1990 to November 2000 was found guilty on all charges of human rights abuses, including murder and kidnapping.
Judge Cesar San Martin, the president of the special chamber of the Peruvian Supreme Court, which oversaw the case said : “”This court declares that the four charges are proven beyond all reasonable doubt.” The 70 year old convicted Ex-President faces as much as 30 years of imprisonment for the crimes he comitted during his decade-long rule.
