When I Was Growing Up In Iran, Before Takhti's Death, There Were Great Many "Rumors" That The Old Regime Was "Envious" Of The "Popularity" Of Takhti ..

Some Even Said That His "Popularity" Posed some Type Of A "Threat" To The Regime ..

In My Mind, It Is Possible, That They Made Things So "Difficult" For Him That He Took His Own Life ..

This, However, Is Not "Suicide" But "Homicide" ..

When A Regime Makes Things So Difficult For A Citizen Such That He/She Decides To Take His/Her Life To escape The "Misery", Then That Is Not "Suicide" ..

Not Even In "God's" Eyes ..

Again, Knowing What I Know Of Takhti, He Was "Incapable" Of Taking His Own Life For Any Other Reason But For The One  That I Have Just Mentioned ..

Pure And Simple ..

I feel your love for the great man in your writing, and , believe me,I empathize with you. 

You say :"He Was Not That Type Of A Person". By the type, I assume , you mean "Sadegh Hedaayat" type. In reality, baraadar, they never are. Just like when the body gets infected, and reacts, the mind  sometimes goes out of balance, and the person decides to end it all.

 I don't know why you find it so difficult to accept( although I do not know for sure if, in fact) he committed suicide. But I know  there is a taboo around mental health, for us Iranians. For us, you are either "deevooneh", "mashang"( a milder version of "deevooneh"), and "aadee"(normal)!! And Takhti was normal, and normal people don't kill themselves!

 Takhti can be the man of people, and stand for all our 'javaanmardee' and 'pahlevaanee' and'mardoonegee' values, and at the same time, because of some crisis, and some psychlogical issues, decide to end his life.

 As much as you and millions of Iranians, I am sure, loved this man, I doubt you knew him or loved him as much as his family did.

My father is no Takhti, but if they tell me he committed suicide, I won't rest until I get to the bottom of it, and if I suspect otherwise, I'll let the world know.

 His family has been quiet about it. That tells me they may be aware of the circumstances surrounding his death - it was not murder- and despite the masses' desire to turn him into a mythical figure, a martyr, they want Takhti to be left in peace.

 That's my assessment. I may be wrong.

As A Kid, I Always Admired Takhti ..

His Personality, "Shakhsiat", Everything About Him ..

It Is "Inconceivable" For Me To "Accept" The Fact That He Committed "Suicide" ..

For Him To Have Committed Suicide Means That He Went "Against" Everything That We Truly Loved About Him ..

He Was Not That Type Of A Person ..

It's Really That Simple ..

However, regarding his death, wouldn't you think his family at least bolster the claim that he was murdered? And yet they never have.

 Not every famous person who dies, is murdered!

When, not even their kids claim that they were killed, who are we to keep insisting Dr. Shariati, Takhti, or even Ahmad Khomeini were murdered?? 

Or the kids don't care as much as WE do?

Or they are misguided?

Or, they were part of conspiracy too?

Oh, I know, ...they are all still too scared to speak up!
