I have been there in the hell that you are describing in your poem, and my choice was yes, "Tear Up All Holy Books".
And I feel better, liberated and in peace. Because now there are no more "whys", no more conflicts, no more "but how can this be?", no more explaining the impossible. It all became so clear and simple, and there is no more waiting either.
