Let Me Share Something with You:

When I Start Writing A Poem, 75-80% Of The time I Have Absolutely No Idea What I Am Going To Write About Until I Actually Sit Down and Start The Writing ..

Also, I Am Not "Disciplined" Like Many Other  writers Who Write On Such And such Days Of The week, Or On Such And Such Times Of The Day ..

To Be Honest with You, I Do Not Start To Write A Poem Unless I Have A Great "Urge" To Do That ..

Sometimes I Write A Poem A Day, And sometimes "Nothing" For Many days ..

I Just Try To Write Down "Whatever" Subject My "Spirit" Brings Forth ..

By That I Mean That I Just "Do Not" Pick Up A Subject And Write About It ..

That's Not Really "Inspired" ..

I Hope That Has Explained It .. :)

Shaer, one more thing...

Since you are good with your pen, why don't you write a few poems on the pains of "ghorbat, doori va hasrat", a few emotions most of us Iranians living abroad are familiar with.

You know, for example, how many times have you had one of those moments when you saw or heard something or even smelt something that takes you back in time to better times, and literally "aah az nahaadet bar avord"?

The majority of us respond to these moments with sadness mixed with anger. The sadness leads to disgust, the anger leads to hating. Just walk around in this site and you'll know what I mean.

O God! Refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hand. Thou art my Guide and my Refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being. O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life. O God! Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself. I dedicate myself to Thee, O Lord.

Shaer, I enjoyed reading your last poem but this one is GREAT,and I like the way it always ends with a kind conclusion :)

By Giving It To God, You Are Essentially "Separating" Yourself From The Hatred ..

You Have To Understand One Thing: The Person Who "Hates" Is Affected Much More "Severely" Than The Person That Is Being "Hated" ..

"Hatred" Is A Very "Negative" And "Destructive" Emotion. It Is No Different Than Having "Poison" In Your system ..

I didn't get that part Shaer.

Today, while driving, I thought of your poems and an Iranian woman I know since my childhood. Her father, a once philosopher, is dying from Alzheimer. She is in a lot of emotional distress and I can't do much for her since she lives far from me. I will send her your pdf file in the hopes that it will help her tap into her inner strength and peace. I thing she will enjoy reading it.
