Our settlement is fluent…..
All we need is a backpack…and a tent.
* * *
We’ve just arrived and been unpacked.
I stare at your lips; waiting impatiently to hear: “Let’s pack!”
As I see no end in sight to this passionate journey,
No one will hear us to say: “Hey…We’re back!”
We’ve never been found, we’ve never been sought,
And still we’re each other’s needle in this haystack
Since there’s something in the air which directs us all the ways;
Don’t worry Azizam, if we are off the track…
The only way which I know is a shortcut to your heart
I don’t mind if I get lost, and I won’t be back
Are we travelers as lovers or
lovers as travelers? Whatever…
……………………………….
Khob giram ham gom shodim…
I found YOU… so be darak!

Ah! I see.....
by Natalia Alvarado-Alvarez on Wed Jun 25, 2008 06:46 PM CDTWe have a different view of backpacking due to background experiences.
For me backpacking means going camping to a National Park in the U.S. and going hiking.
Yes, I guess traveling with the one you love to different places, is romantic. Just your lover, you and the elements.

Natalia: I was inspired by witnessing a couple who were backpacking. Its a long story and I won't go through it, but romance can be seen in everything...It also is not necessarily a guy thing. Most of traveller backpackers whom I was witnessed were couples. My first experience of seeing backpackers made me curiouse to know a bout them as they were travelling around the world, with a low-cost budget but in a long-term period . Backpackers now seem to act thorough an organized movement in international as well as local level (like in camping).

Nice poem
by Natalia Alvarado-Alvarez on Wed Jun 25, 2008 12:42 PM CDTHowever, I just don't see the romance in back packing. It must be a guy thing.
Camping was always a family activity in my life. It was never a two person activity.

Travelers as lovers
by Anonymouse on Wed Jun 25, 2008 07:51 AM CDTI think we are travelers before we are lovers. You don't want to travel if the love doesn't like to. But like you said, be darak when you have love!
Indeed
by Jahanshah Javid on Tue Jun 24, 2008 04:01 PM CDT... be darak when you have love.
