"Tangled Girl" (or "Dokhtarak-e Joulideh" in Persian) was originally composed in 1920s for tar solo. The composer Ali-Naqi Vaziri (1887-1979) is an iconic figure in the history of Persian music. He is the composer of tens of vocal, instrumental and orchestral pieces and author of various scholary books and article on Persian classical music.
