Rain Bears No Result

 

On a rainy night,
came to my haunt

Liberty of scent,
laded my nest
Autumn season at its best
Rain on glass, hit after hit

Flower in the pot of my heart,
dreamt of a hatchet

To myself I thought:
“This love yield will not
Dry is soil of your heart
By and by root will not sprout
Rain bears no result"

Hi! MPD,

     Thank you for another translation......wow! So many people love to write poems......it is hard for me to believe that Iranians have not won Nobel Prize for literature......as I know that Nader Naderpour and Simin Behbahani had been nominated for Nobel Prize for their poetry......I can't think of any countries that have more poetry craze (fever) than Iran.......school kids visit poets' tombs over there........many people are able to express themselves with poetry.....
