/francoise?!!

by Monda on Tue Dec 14, 2010 06:21 PM PSTSo glad you're enjoying this blog as well. What's wrong with a Gay Dico?! You don't have to be gay to enjoy good music and good time with your friends, right? Or was your reputation in danger back in those days? That, I can understand and make sense of. Gays were called eva khaahar, and were thought of as inferior. Too bad! I had a cousin who killed himself for being Gay and the shame he brought his loved ones and because of all the cruel misconceptions our society had around homosexuality.
DM, Vaallaa I was bacheh mazloom too! Even bacheh mazlooms have stories to tell. In fact bacheh mazlooms Rule! Geeks Rule! Saleetehs Rule too! We all Ruled once and we Rule again! Ok if you don't want to share, it'd be good enough if you thought about those stories (never lose them!) and felt the effect in your heart. Thank you for visiting my blog.

by Monda on Tue Dec 14, 2010 02:48 PM PSTAnonymouse, baba karam belonged in ofogh talayi, not in any of my friends' birthdays. I had 3 birthdays all my life, 2 in Abadan and one in Tehran, evidenced by photos... no baba karam there either. The most artistee was my (sober) baba singing "dar khiaban sepah loss nazan.." at their gown up parties.
Cost of Progress, I hear you. Although I had heard about that disco on Abbas Abad (?) from our driver's son. That family came from Khorasan where the grandparents were still farmers/ keshaavarz. I agree we needed more time for literacy and modernization. goor pedar naft laanat.
Anonymouse again, his party was outside in a beautiful baagh/ garden.
Anahid, when I was 20 and working in Tehran, this colleague (in the waterpolo team) asked me to meet him in Park Saai, with the mutual excuse of reading Camus' Myth of Sisyphus... I smelled his cologne, grabbed my book and took a taxi home. My immediate assessment of the moment was: He was too fake, can't ever talk to him, Bye.
hamsade jan, there are many ladies on IC with steamy daastaan sansuris (check out my favorites: Sarvenaz, Shana Yazdi, Flying Solo and of course Fatemeh Zarei). Sorry about my misleading blog title.
Souri! I loved that turquoise silk dress! I had bought it in Beirut. (It went so well with my turquoise eye pencil). It was in size 6, so even if I still had it here, i couldn't have fit into it, but you could have. I don't know in which move, I lost it or gave it away. I know what you mean, good dresses are just hard to come by. But don't despair my dear, keep looking for the one that you really really love to wear :o)
ahang 1001, glad you enjoyed this. Love your avatar :o)
Faramarz, Thanks for your compliment, chashm - I'll try to never lose That One! : )) Actually, babam was cool with my sheytooni, in fact he encouraged me to get out there more, instead of always playing music, reading, riding my bike, and in between once in awhile falling in love with someone who was, or was not, interested in me.
