I really appreciate your helping hand again. You know how "ghaneemat" is every bit of information in my poverty of sources to enrich what I have inherited from that culture!

Aftaab mishavad ...
by Souri on Sun May 18, 2008 12:29 PM CDTDear Manouchehr,
First congratulation to you for your talent. This very beautiful inspirational poem, left me speechless. You are really great ! About that poem of Forough, you mentioned, I believe it was : "Aftaab Mishavad"...actually I recognized that from the first sentences of your poem. She said :"Negah kon ke gham daroune dideh am, chegouneh ghatreh ghatreh aab mishavad, chegooneh saayeye siahe sarkesham, asire daste aaftab mishavad.............negah kon negah kon, tamame hastiam kharab mishavad....."
Thank you many many times for sharing those great peaces with us and good luck to you.
I am going to cut and paste it to read it to others and
by hanna (not verified) on Sun May 18, 2008 12:10 PM CDTremember it myself. After all the negative news one hears every day, one forgets that there exists a beautiful world. In fact nature is so magnificent, that when one wonders in the fields, and as they say, "take time to smell the roses", you feel like a different person - your thoughts are cleared up, the fuzzyness disappears; hope comes back.
If I could re-live my life again, I would love to be gardner!! Really, sometimes I look at the old persian paintings with the poets sitting underneath a tree with the stream passing by reading and reciting poetry - and envy their peace. No wonder Hafez, Sa'adi, Molana, Omar Khayyam where such deep individuals and looked at life from a different lense!
Thank you again. I have read the articles you have posted, though I have not commented. But you are a deep person. Please continue to write and bring sanity to this insane world of ours.
It is me again
by Manoucher Avaznia on Sun May 18, 2008 11:52 AM CDTHanna Jaan;
I forgot to say that I wrote this poem some two years ago in Ottawa. It was sometime after Farvadeen when the town was truly started to melt. Orod is my older son's name, however the peom is addressed to everyone who comprehends the constant flow of things toward the beloved. In a way, it was inspired by one of Farrokhzad's poem that I do not remember its title: again friend's bad influence.

Thank you for the beautifull comment. I am delighted to hear that this tiny me was of some postive effect on this day of yours. Please, call me by the name that you like. Disregard this legal misspelt name of mine. Write it in a way that is correct.

Very beautiful - did you write this?
by hanna (not verified) on Sun May 18, 2008 11:05 AM CDTDear Manouchehr (if I may call you by your first name):
Your poem is truly beautiful and full of hope, and positive energy. It takes one to a different world of life and spring, and all that is beautiful in our world.
You are a great writer - lucky you!
Thank you for giving us our sunshine for the day. I hope we can all remember this every day of our life. We need hope and we need to look at all of the blessings that we have been given and tend to neglect or forget.
