by vildemose on Mon Dec 26, 2011 06:51 PM PSTdear talented Kaveh: I'm not surprised about your ambivalence. Do not fret. It is what they call black sense of humor. You are so very talented and I hope you get the recognition you deserve someday. Thank you for your hard work.
"History Summary, quite complex, multi layered as well as deeply personal. You are a very sensitive soul.

I can not upload high quality images on iranian.com so the details are lost and can lead to misinterpretations hence the reason for links to my own original blog as well as Facebook :)

vildemose, I was quite conflicted in drawing this
by KavehAhangarAdel on Mon Dec 26, 2011 06:40 PM PSTas well. About the quote by Solzhenistyn, here is my latest cartoon called "History Summary" on my original blog, also on Facebook. It is such a true statement.

Thank you Yolanda for
by vildemose on Mon Dec 26, 2011 06:40 PM PSTThank you Yolanda for posting that news item. Violence has become institutionalized systematically throughout IRI's reign of terror.

yolanda, last year I did a cartoon..
by KavehAhangarAdel on Mon Dec 26, 2011 06:36 PM PSTabout the execution rate by IRI, here it is: "A Typical Day"

.......
by yolanda on Mon Dec 26, 2011 06:11 PM PSTRight now (dec 26, 6:06 pm, California time), the Sakineh story ranks #3 on CNN:
//www.cnn.com/
Last new year day, IRI executed 12 in one day if I remember correctly!
IRI's mind-set is that if they don't execute Sakineh, it makes them feel that they have bowed to foreign pressure....they have kowtowed to the West! "Compassion and Merciful" is last thing on their mind!
Don't know whether to weep
by vildemose on Mon Dec 26, 2011 05:47 PM PSTDon't know whether to weep or laugh. What a tragic irony.

Thanks.....
by پندارنیک on Mon Dec 26, 2011 05:46 PM PSTI can recognize the hole now............not the first time for my faulty perception!
Thanks yolanda and Divaneh.....
by KavehAhangarAdel on Mon Dec 26, 2011 05:32 PM PSTI am sadened as well (at a loss for words) which explains my extreme angle on this issue. And I agree with پندارنیک that savagery of thought and laws are still present. By the way, that is a hole in the ground that has been figuratively dug up for her in case they want to still revert back to the Stoning.

Of savagery
by پندارنیک on Mon Dec 26, 2011 04:45 PM PSTWhat's that piece on the ground next to the heap of stones? An out-of-proportion broken pen, a severed arm?............
The barbarity of Sakina's (non)judicial saga has already marked the ruling faction of the IRI as outdated and poisonous.
Dark humour
by divaneh on Mon Dec 26, 2011 04:40 PM PSTI second Yolanda. Thanks for sharing Kaveh.

by yolanda on Mon Dec 26, 2011 04:28 PM PSTThank you, Kaveh, for your cartoon! The whole thing makes me really sad! The whole world wanted to save this lady's life, but she still has to die! IRI acted like that she is so gracious that she will carry out less cruel method of execution. I am hoping that the intense media coverage of this latest development can halt the execution! My prayer is with Sakineh and her 2 kids!
