I always loved adventure.

I always loved adventure. The best part of it is to go to the unknown and discovering new and inexperienced things.

I would go definitely.........

by Souri on

Actually I even dreamed of it a few times. It is a dream which comes once in a year, recently. I find myself in a space-ship and go to the unknown and dark space then I find myself with a million little lights like the faraway stars.

Yes, I would take the trip definitively, only if I am assured that there's no danger or a life threatening element.

I always loved adventure. The best part of it is to go to the unknown and discovering new and unexperienced things.

I am a voyager!

Thanks JD for the experience.

How meditative

Tibet was the perfect starting point.

Would I go if the faster than light ships of sci-fi  films weren't impossible? With bells on.

Great post JD.

Just can’t get enough of the Final Frontier

by Anvar on

Ladies and gentlemen, pack your bags as it’s been estimated that our seemingly tireless Sun will burn itself out in about 7 billion years, give or take a few, and will eventually collapse in on itself.  That, being the end of life as we know it, leaves us no choice but to venture out!

I’ll go.  I’ll take that journey.  When we have eliminated all the poverty, hunger, and illness; when earth’s resources are distributed equitably; when we all get along with each other in total peace; when chasing money is obsolete and we are left only with intellectual pursuits; when even the most idealistic one of us is bored almost to death; when the next challenge for humanity is making peace with our inter-galactic neighbors, I’ll go.  I’ll take that journey.

Of course, by then, I don’t expect anything less than the Enterprise and the fantastic adventures of Star Trek.  I’d really be bummed to find myself in a tiny capsule, travelling for 50 years in the dark void of space, going nowhere in particular!

*JD* - Thanks for the fantastic video and the simulated mind trip.

*JJ* - May I suggest that, once in a while, when some of us get bogged down bickering on some of the blogs here, you post a similar video to remind us of our insignificance in the greater scheme of things?  :-)

Princess

I love the Earth too much...

to leave it for good, but I would sure love to be able to go on trips to other galaxies, if for nothing else to gain some perspective every once in a while.

JD thanks for another amazing find.

I would go if I can afford the cost...

of trips back to earth once in awhile. Unless my daughter goes with me.

Plus I have endured enough displacement in my lifetime that in order to leave here, I need to know that I have a choice to come back when I need to.

What scares me the most though is absolute loneliness out there. I need people within reach, even one or two good ones.

Once again - Wonders of Wonders! ... and sometimes we think the Universe should stop for just 'moi'!  The word infinitesimal keeps on ringing in my ear!

Jeesh Daram

good question JJ

by Jeesh Daram on

If I get the opportunity and trust the spaceship that I will ride on, is truly built to keep going and going, I am willing to depart for good. Ability to send photos and videos of what I see and experience back to earth and have the ability to get on the Internet, would be nice options. I won't ask for a return ticket.

So, I guess that makes two of us....

Jahanshah Javid

Would you go?

by Jahanshah Javid on

Thanks JD for this breathtaking video.

I have a question for you and others: If the technology existed and you were given the opportunity to leave Earth to explore space for the rest of your life, would you go?

I would if:

-- Life similar to ours was found on another planet. (Yes! There IS life out there.)
-- Could stay in video contact with people on Earth.
-- Could stay connected on the Internet!
