1925 documentary about the Bakhtiari tribe regular annular migration (Yeylaagh & Gheshlaagh) accross Zardkoh to reach fresh grass for their animals. This documentary shows their challanges as they tried to pass Karun and all other difficulties of the routine chores.

This was amazing. Thanks a lot. I wonder whether the music was also the originally added one, or added later. The music corresponded to the areas they travelled, at first it was Anatolian, and then it was Persian.

(the director of the Tanboor School) four years ago.  He'd worked on the new score for it. It was magnificent. I just mentioned it the other day on samsam's blog about the Bakhtiari. They crossedthe mountains barefoot in the snow.

50 years after the Odysee another similar documentary which was Oscar nominated was made with Iranian Shusha Guppy and two american directors as a tribute to Cooper's film. It was narrated by Hollywood star James Mason and entitled:
