Iranian-American San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi is under investigation for domestic abuse.

I saw this story about the allegations of domestic abuse against Iranian-American San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi about a week ago.

Mirkarimi is alleged to have bruised his wife’s arm, Venezuelan-born Eliana Lopez on New Year’s Eve. The allegations were serious enough and I thought that given the number of bloggers on this site from the Bay Area, the story would have been made it to the top of the page, but it has been a total silence. So here it is.

Let me be clear. Both Mr. Mirkarimi and his wife have denied the charges, but there were enough reasons for the District Attorney to arraign Mirkarimi for misdemeanor charges of domestic violence battery.

So many sweet things were always said about him in this website and now this!  I guess our politicians have become "westernized" as well!  First get in politics then leave in shame one way or another!

There are a lot of Iranian doing domestic violence against wife Iran and also out of the country.

Hope some day they learn not to do this.

Excerpt from Wikipedia:

According to the warrant, the neighbor videotaped the bruise at the request of Mirkarimi's wife and the two discussed the incident via text messages.[21] She also "indicated the alleged incident indicated a larger pattern of abuse."[22]

Under state and federal law, if Mirkarimi is convicted of even a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, he will be barred from carrying a firearm, making him the only sheriff in California so disarmed.[24]
