David's blogs and comments are some of the most informative, political, blogs on this website. A lack of understanding should not allow Iranians to think that any US president is going to help Iran. Most are puppets of the elite who run the show from behind the scenes, and for THEIR benefit, that's why they don't allow Ron Paul to get the media coverage his intelligence desreves.

McCain, Romney, Clinton and Obama are all backed by the elite. They have their minor differences but the only one they don't 'control' is Paul and that's why he's not even give a chance. He doesn't even appear on any official polls when he beats other candidates (who do) in the primaries!

Blind support of American interference in the Middle East is harmful and invidious. No Iranian should favour candidates who want to interfere. Yes, Iran under the Mullahs is corrupt, as it was under the Shah, but the only way Iran can change is by Iranians themselves taking responsbility from within Iran. No one said it should be easy. Interference from the West has been going on too long and any true Iranian while being against the current regime should also be for an independent Iran.

Other than Paul, Obama may be the best of a bad bunch but he has the backing of Zibignew Brezhinsky who is no angel when it comes to international geopolitics and interfering with Iran. Google him.

In the long run, until America gets rid of its own corruption, there will always be conflict in the Middle East and with Iran. The elite who run the West benefit from this.

We are living in a democratic country. If you believe in Mccain, go ahead and vote for him, good for you.
Only one thing: I hope he will pick a younger co-runner, so when he gets to the cycle of aging amnesia, a younger person could make decision for him. :)

I changed my mind...

I was going to vote Obama, until I saw the debate last night..and I changed my mind.

Sorry, but now I am going to vote Hillary. I found she was more likable and handled better the questions, especially the ones about the economy. I thought also Hillary was comfortable and even funny when she said that a Clinton cleaned up the mess of first Bush, and maybe now another Clinton is needed to clean up after the second Bush...

Otherwise Obama is a great candidate in 4 or in 8 years...

I agree with you about Obama, but regardless I would say the Democratic party is the best choice regardless. I would take Hillary or Obama, whichever comes first over the Republicans.

I want to urge you that you vote for Senator Barak Obama. Clinton is widely supported by the Democratic party establishment that are generally very influenced by the same lobby that is supporting Republican. Obama's
positions on many issues, including foreign policy issues, are progressive. He recently reiterated that if elected he will talk directly with
Iran and Syria.

We need new blood in the White House. His position last noght on Iran was clear: " we made wrong choice bringing this regime in; we should invaded then, now now after 30 years"
