Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with action of the Iranian Patrol, in both the US and Iranian released footage. And considering the exchange was in excess of half an hour in length and both sides have only released 5 minutes or so of footage, both sides seem to be using it as propaganda, and we all know that means it's just bullshit. This kind of thing happens most days of the week, why should this be special?

I recall a couple of lengthy e-mail debates I ahd with you, and every time I pointed out that you had made a false assertion, instead of responding to my claim that what you had said was untrue - you responded by throwing a dozen more completely unrelated accusations of US misconduct at me. Most of which were also untrue. That went on for weeks. It may be that the Iranian version of the event is more accurate than the US version (although nobody seems to be denying the confrontation took place, do they?) - but you are hardly the person to be pointing that out.

I agree with you Daryush 100 percent. After repeated lies and deception by this administration for the past seven years, there is no way I can believe what they say anymore. It was just a while ago that we heard from some US Navy commander that how professional Iranians are while conducting US ships. I am happy that Iran published their video to show the world the reality behind this incident.

None, absolutely none of the ruling clergy are Islamic, ergo their most potent enemy are from within their own rank who know what has been done to the religion by these folks. I am an atheist. I was born to a Christian father and raised as in a non religious and traditional household. Am I an Islamist? I think that you are mistaking an ideology with religion. I do have one, ideology that is. And that follows a within movement inside Iran. So If I am against IRI, I am only against IRI with those who understand ideology. To you, I am pro, and that is the simplest way for you not to learn any more. Just like when an Iranian sits with another country man, they speak about Iran and criticize the country or culture, but in front of a foreigner we tend to speak differently about ourselves. So to me, you are a foreigner, who probably believes that anything west or American is superior. I would argue that IRI is better than any puppet regime by the west, in a long run. To you that might be Islamist, to me you have lack of ideology. The difference between you and an American born is none.

Iran releases the video of Sunday's maritime identification check in the Persian Gulf waters involving Iranian boats and US warships.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the US-released footage of the incident is fabricated and the audio of it is fake.

Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, an IRGC senior official, has said that the US vessels' registration numbers had been unreadable to the Iranian guards.

He added that the guards approached the US ships only to examine the numbers.

The Iranian footage also includes the original radio communication between the Iranian guards and the US warship.
